On July 22, 2019, a Plenary Meeting of the Defense Industry Policy Committee (KKIP) took place at the Ministry of Defense Office. The Plenary Meeting of the KKIP was attended by the Indonesian Minister of Defense, Mr. Ryamizard Ryacudu, Minister of Communication and Informatics, Mr. Rudiantara, defense industry representatives from State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) and Private Owned Enterprises. PT Nusantara Turbin and Propulsion (NTP) were represented by Mr. Ardian Pratama as Ctr. President Director at the meeting.

Indonesia faces a very complex challenge in the form of intense competition between countries in seizing market share and ability and competitiveness. Facing these challenges according to Minister of Defense, Mr. Ryamizard Ryacudu precise strategies and close cooperation are needed between the three pillars of the defense industry, which are the government, users and the defense industry.

In the meeting entitled "Synchronization of Strategic Policy Direction for Development of Defense Industry in 2020-2024", Minister of Defense assessed that synergy was the key to the development of the defense industry. According to Minister of Defense, the three pillars of the defense industry must be able to formulate a strategic policy, which is synchronous and synergistic and has a strong commitment and consistency in building and developing the defense industry.

PT NTP is one of the Defense Industries in Indonesia which is an integrated part of national resource management strategic planning for the interests of national defense and security. In accordance with Laws of the Republic of Indonesia no.16 of 2012, the functions of the Defense Industry include developing technology that is beneficial to the defense, security, and interests of the community, and to fostering a state defense and security system, PT NTP is committed to always supporting the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) in the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) for aircraft engines and helicopters operated by the TNI.
